Fifth day of the New Year

Being snowed in is no fun! Especially when one is looking for a job. There are many business’ closed and most of the public schools are too. Mostly because they didn’t shovel off their roofs. And the local bus’s are running on no schedule (they get to you when they can). Grrrr! It can be very frustrating!! And my cats need more food. My housemate upstairs has offered to take me downtown tomorrow so, I can get some money and then I need to go about 9 miles north to PetSmart to get their special food. Max needs this special prescription for his urinary problem. Did you know that most-not all- male cats have unusual tubing in their urinary area that makes food difficult to digest? This is what my vet told me, anyway. Before, I went to the vet, Max had been peeing in unapproiate places and a profound order and it was greenish in color. Yuck! After I took him in to see the vet and got him on this special diet, he has not been peeing on my bed nor any stinky pee and the pee is back to being normal.   And about every other day, I give him about 6 mg. of plain white yogurt. He really likes it. He licks it right off the syring as I slowly push in the syring thingy. I don’t know what they call it! UndecidedSmile

Also tomorrow we three ladies are going sledding, weather permitting. It snowed some more last night! It’s looking more and more like the Alaska winters of my youth, like this guy or gal…..

The old sled! I loved sledding on this kind of sleds. They sure don’t make them like this one. You baby boomers remember this sled? They don’t make like this anymore!

Well, I’ve come to the end of another post. We have a horrible problem with gnats in this house. Here is a tip I found to get rid of them. Thanks to www.HowToGetRidOfStuff.com

Track Them and Kill Them. If you’ve got a swarm, you need to eliminate the source. It seems gnats are attracted to vinegar. Fill a jar almost to the top with vinegar, poke several small holes in the lid and then set it out. The gnats will come to the jar, wiggle down into the hole, and will not be able to climb back out.

And here’s a cutie… I love baby ducks, do you?

Till next time! Take care of yourself!
